My GODZILLA toes
When I was 12-years- old, my Mother sent me to this other house in our neighborhood. When I arrived I found the lady that my Mother had sent me to and while trying to explain what my Mom said I must tell her, she started laughing. "Yuu haai kutheni inyawo zakho zinje?" Which meant why are your toes like that. I looked at them and didn't see anything wrong, she laughed even harder when I asked what was wrong with them. I didn't understand what she was laughing at because there was nothing wrong with my toes. I left her house downcast and went back home. When I arrived I told my Mom what the lady said and she could tell from my facial expression that I was sad. She asked what was wrong and with a very confused tone I said "la Mama uyewahleka inyawo zam'!" (that lady was laughing at my feet) She asked what did she say exactly?
